All of the programs relate to Dolores Mission School’s goals to provide complete academic, spiritual, physical and emotional educational experiences to create young men and women for others. More specifically, some of the additional programs offered at Dolores Mission School include but are not limited to the following:

  • Field trips to historic, cultural and educational sites including San Gabriel Mission, LA Metro Center, STARBASE, Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL), the Natural History Museum, La Brea Tar Pits and the California Science Center 
  • Fine and Visual Arts field trips to major arts museums in the Los Angeles area
  • On-site counseling with a private counselor and art therapy through Loyola Marymount University and Outreach Concern
  • Religious formation and cultural gatherings throughout the year such as Novenas, Posadas and Via Crucis
  • Monthly service projects for students and parents to cook for the homeless shelter housed in Dolores Mission Church and managed by our partners at Proyecto Pastoral
  • Spelling Bee
  • Performing Arts: Young Storytellers, Young Movie-Makers and our school musical
  • Physical Education & Athletics
  • Urban gardening & nutrition 
  • Music
