All of the programs relate to Dolores Mission School’s goals to provide complete academic, spiritual, physical and emotional educational experiences to create young men and women for others. More specifically, some of the additional programs offered at Dolores Mission School include but are not limited to the following:

  • Academic related field trips such as science related field trips to San Gabriel Mission, LA Metro Center, STARBASE, Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL), the Natural History Museum and the California Science Center (to name a few)
  • Art field trips to each major art museum in Southern California for grades transitional kindergarten through eighth
  • On site counseling with a private counselor and art therapy through Loyola Marymount University
  • Religious formation and cultural gatherings throughout the year such as Novenas, Posadas and Via Crucis
  • Monthly service projects for students and parents to cook for the homeless shelter that is housed in Dolores Mission Church and managed by our partners at Proyecto Pastoral
  • Annual Spelling Bee
  • School musical production, annually in the spring 
  • Physical Education & Athletics
  • Urban gardening & nutrition 
  • Young Storytellers & Young Movie-Makers
