Sister Cristina Marie Buczkowski, SND is excited to teach second grade at Dolores Mission School. She loves to teach because she believes in helping others, especially children, reach their full potential. Sister Cristina Marie says, “what a joy and privilege it is to journey with children as they come to know themselves as children of a good and provident God, who created them to make a difference in our world! If I can nurture their coming to know and love our Lord, support their natural sense of wonder and awe, as well as encourage a desire to be a lifelong learner, then I consider myself a good teacher.”
Sister Cristina Marie entered the Sisters of Notre Dame in 2000. She was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina and moved to Camarillo, CA when she was four years old. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Arts from Loyola Marymount University and has since taught at several schools in Los Angeles and Ventura counties and was the principal of St. Julie Model Primary Boarding School in Buseesa, Uganda. She also directed the youth outreach program Planting Hope in the La Colonia area of Oxnard, CA.
Welcome, Sister Cristina Marie!
